9:40am I woke up around I don't know, seven this morning. The sun's coming out and it's warmer now. What's the name of these woods? I saw a sign when we walked in yesterday. It's like Durango Mountain or something. I put my poncho down and crashed out on the ground. I woke up and I was able to scrape up a lot of resin out of my pipe. I was going to smoke it all, but nah, I had enough to share. I went up to Skitz and Ghost's tent and said, "You guys want to wake-and-bake?" They invited me in real quick. I'm going to share some peace with them. We had a good morning. I told them my story and now we're going to the Soup Kitchen, which is conveniently located right near the entrance to the woods. I'm going to see if I can do my laundry.
9:48am We came to the Manna Soup Kitchen. They have this sign over the door that says, "In a community of plenty, no one should go hungry." I like that. Today is September second, by the way.
1:49pm I had a good morning at the Soup Kitchen. I did a little work before lunch. I did a little gardening, pulled some weeds and watered the plants. I get to do my laundry tomorrow. I told this girl who works here, Perla, my story. She doubts me.
Just like I want her to.
2:57pm A while ago Emma hooked me up with a cigarette. I appreciate it, Emma.
3:17pm We came to Schneider Park and we met these two girls. Ghia and Emma, or Dee. I told them my story. Oh yeah, Skitz is reading my Stinky Cheese Man book. Ghost is writing on some thermos.
5:37pm Man, I've had such an awesome day. I didn't go into town and tell my story or nothing. It's already 5:30. Me and Ghost and Skitz, we met up with Dee and Ghia. They've become our neighbors. They're going to camp out next to us. They have their own tent. Hell, they have their own car. They just got into town from Vermont.
6:14pm I've been walking around this hill that we're camping on. This place is just awesome. I really wish I had a mountain bike. There's some awesome trails out here. It's beautiful. I spent the whole day out here not doing anything. It's like a vacation.
At least I told my story to those two girls.
6:48pm I just took a picture of the gang at the campsite.
7:34pm I walked by the Hardesty Financial place. They have a big sign that says, "Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier." - Mother Theresa.
8:37pm Rick just hooked me up with a cigarette. I appreciate it, brother. Everybody gets credit.
8:54pm We walked down to Main Street. Me and Skitz. We were on a mission to get some weed somehow. We didn't get any weed. This sucks. I haven't smoked any weed in Durango, damnit.
Skitz kind of skitzed out. He said he wanted to go back to camp, then he just disappeared. I'm walking to camp all by myself. As he was leaving, his brother Ghost earlier, Ghost told him, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." With those girls or something.
